Congratulations to the varsity girls' volleyball team for being Co-District champions, Bi-District champions and Area Finalists. The girls ended the season 29-11 overall and 7-1 in district. The team consisted of one freshman, Kaylee White. Sophomores- Makaila Tyer, Sydnee Schofield, Jaycee Pannell, Lindsay Lummus. Juniors- Hannah Stoy, Cheyenne Barnes, Beth Danna, Sidnee Molloy, Jordyn Logan, Destiny Green, and Whitney Steggall. Seniors- Leanna James, Stacy Huckaby and Jaci Smith. Senior managers were Daeley Havlak and Lindsay Stembridge.
Casey Sadler and Madilynn Maxwell will be performing next week in the 65th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston. They competed for and won All-American Cheerleader honors this past summer at cheer camp at U.T. Arlington and will be representing Godley Middle School next week on Thanksgiving Day. A third cheerleader, also qualified as an All American cheerleader but is unable to attend next week.

Godley High School FCCLA is completing sales of Wildcats Making Tracks for the Cure Pink T-shirts. Thanks to staff and students at all campuses and community members who support the Race for the Cure, we have sold 575 T's, and have made over $2,600 which will be donated to Komen Race for the Cure for Tarrant/Johnson Counties. The Godley Tennis team competed in 4-A Team Tennis for the first time ever. They placed 2nd in the district meet advancing them to the Area meet where they again placed 2nd advancing them to the Regional meet. The Regional meet is Oct. 31 & Nov. 1, 2014. Members of the team are: Erika Koviac, Alex Angeledes, Iridian Oviedo, Ryan Sanderson, Victoria Valle, AJ Wright, Kasey Steward, Hunter Allen, Sarah Barber, Braden Schroeder, Mallory Sullivan, Jayme Wayt, Brooklyne Oliveira, Brandon Bell, Gricel Oviedo, & Diego Solis.
Congratulations to the seventh grade girls cross country team for being district champions. The high school cross country team also ran well at district with two individual runners qualifying for the regional meet to be held in Lubbock on October 31, Diego Solis and Alejandra Lopez. The Varsity girls team also advanced to the regional meet. The team is comprised of Alejandra Lopez, Kimberly O'Bryant, Erika Koviac, Elisabeth Harris, Rachel Crutchfield, Abigail Tanner, and Akanesi Kaufusi.
