Dear Parents and Guardians,
Recently, a quote by Pauline Kezer was shared which stated, "Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights." Godley ISD has arrived at a place in time where we are ready to stretch to reach new heights.
Beginning Wednesday, May 13th, Godley Intermediate principal, Jeanne Cobb, will assume her new role as Executive Director of Learning and Innovation. She will be working with campuses across the district as we empower our students to be leaders and creative problem solvers. We are thankful for all that Mrs. Cobb has done for the students, staff, and parents of Godley Intermediate. We wish her the best in her new role at GISD and look forward to continuing to work together.
With this change, we will have new administrative teams at both the elementary and intermediate. Jason Karnes will step into the role of principal of Godley Intermediate, joined by assistant principal, Keri Grimsley. Melinda Reynolds will remain principal at the elementary where she will be teamed with new assistant principal, Cynthia Luce.
We are thankful for our roots but also embrace these new changes as we grow, stretch, and reach new heights.
Jason Karnes and Melinda Reynolds
Somewhere within the green pastures in Godley there's a small greenhouse filled with spider plants, English ivies, vermilyas and vegetables. Running the greenhouse is a pair of teenage boys who are making a small profit from the plants they grow. Click on article title to view the entire Cleburne Times-Review article.
