Summer school will be held Monday through Friday, June 9th through July 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Godley Intermediate Campus. The cost will be $200. The District will be providing transportation if needed. Courses will be offered for recovery (making up a failed class) purposes only. Students with the most need will have priority and be selected on a first come first serve basis. A waiting list will be kept (if applicable) and students will be added as room becomes available. Students wishing to take a class for advancement (never taken a class before) will be considered on a space available basis, only, after all recovery classes are scheduled. For the second year in a row, the Godley tennis program will be represented at the Class 2A state tournament by the Lady Cat girls' doubles team of Callie Mantooth and Breanna Hunt. Please click on article title for full Cleburne Times-Review article.

Godley FFA competed in the Area VIII CDE contest on April 9th at Tarleton State University. Out of the 7 teams Godley had, two teams advanced to state competition. The teams advancing to state include the Floriculture team, which placed 4th at area; and the Horse Evaluation team that placed 7th in area. Godley also had students place individually as well. Angie Cerna, member of the Floriculture team was 3rd out of 116 participants. Tylo Bader, member of the Horse Evaluation team was 3rd out of 187 participants. Mason Irvin, member of Veternary Science team placed 2nd out of 91 participants. Congratulations to all participants. (Click on title to view slideshow)
The Godley softball team clinched the District Championship last Friday beating Grandview 8-3. The Lady Cats are 9-0 in district play going into tonight's final game against Maypearl that begins at 6:00pm.
1st grader, Bree Hubbard took home 3rd place, and kindergartner, Sadey Hughey took home 2nd place in the annual Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation District #541 43rd Annual Coloring Contest. Congratulations girls!
