Bullying! Too many students have experienced some type of bullying. It may have been physical or verbal, but either way it has to stop. To help us better understand how we can prevent bullying, Godley High School had the opportunity to welcome "The Seven Project" to our campus.
The members of "The Seven Project" travel across the United States to educate students on how to recognize and be pro-active in taking a stand against bullying.
One of the speakers that day was our own Matti Rooks. She was born with challenges due to her biological mother's drug use. She was sexually abused growing up and verbally abused at school because of her physical differences.
Matti's testimony that day gave students a firsthand look at what victims go through and how they can overcome difficult situations. At the end of the presentation all the students pledged to end bullying by all joining hands and standing together as one group. (Please click on headline for slideshow and more of Matti's story)
